Cookie Policy

1. What is a cookie and what is its function?

It is a file that is downloaded to your computer or other device when you access certain web pages that collect information about your browsing on that website. In some cases, cookies are necessary to facilitate navigation and allow us to store and retrieve information about the browsing habits of a user or their equipment, among other things, and, depending on the information they contain and the way in which they use their equipment, they can be used to recognize and identify the user.

2. What types of cookies are there?

Notwithstanding the fact that the same cookie may be included in more than one category, in general, cookies can be classified into three broad categories depending on:

  • Its origin or the entity that manages it:
Depending on the entity that manages the domain from which the cookies are sent and processes the data. These types of cookies can be subcategorized as their own (sent from a computer or domain managed by the publisher) or third parties (they are sent from a computer or domain that is not managed by the publisher, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through cookies). If cookies are served from a computer or domain managed by the publisher itself (FIPV), but the information collected through them is managed by a third party, they cannot be considered as their own cookies if the third party uses them for their own purposes.
  • Third-party cookies
These are those that are sent to the user's terminal equipment from a computer or domain that is not managed by the editor, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through cookies.
  • The duration of the cookie:
Depending on the period of time in which they remain active on the user's terminal. These cookies can be subcategorized as session cookies, that is, those designed to collect and store data while the user accesses the website, or persistent, those in which the data is still stored in the terminal and can be accessed and processed for a defined period of time.
  • Its purpose: Depending on the purpose for which the data obtained are processed, cookies can be subcategorized as:
    • Strictly necessary cookies.
    • Performance cookies.
    • Functionality cookies.
    • Targeted cookies.
    • Content for social networks.
    • Audience measurement.
    • Personalized notifications.

A detailed description of their purposes can be found in section 4 of this policy.

3. Who uses cookies?

FIPV holds the status of Data Controller in relation to the user's personal data that it obtains through the installation of its own cookies on web pages. The processing of the data obtained is carried out in accordance with the principles of data protection established in the RGPD, in the LOPD-GDD, LSSI and development regulations.

We want to emphasize that the user has control over their personal data and that we will not use cookies unless, for these purposes, they have given their consent.

On the other hand, in relation to the use of third-party cookies, FIPV is solely responsible for the treatments carried out thanks to the use of them in the terms defined in section 4 of this policy. Notwithstanding this, within the framework of certain collaboration agreements, it is possible that FIPV share the data obtained through cookies with different trusted service providers who, on behalf of FIPV, will collect information for statistical purposes, the use of “web pages and apps” by the User and for the provision of other management and improvement services for “web pages and apps”. In these cases, FIPV adopts the organizational measures established by current legislation on data protection, in order to ensure that these providers, in their capacity as data processors, guarantee a level of security equivalent to that offered FIPV in his capacity as Data Controller. You will find detailed information about third parties that install cookies from the “websites and apps” of FIPV in the list of cookies transcribed in section 4 of this policy.

In the event that any of our suppliers transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area, such transfer will only be made to countries that have any of the instruments provided for in Chapter V RGPD.

Personalization cookies: They allow the user to access the service with some predefined general characteristics based on a series of criteria in the user's terminal, such as the language, the type of browser through which they access the service, the regional configuration from which they access the service, etc.

Analysis cookies: They allow the person responsible for them to monitor and analyze the behavior of the users of the websites to which they are linked. The information collected through this type of cookie is used to measure the activity of websites, applications or platforms and to create browsing profiles of users of such sites, applications and platforms, in order to introduce improvements based on the analysis of the usage data made by users of the service.
