1. Short, 30-metre fronton:

The playing area called the fronton consists of a front wall, left wall, rear wall and court (floor).
The length of the fronton is 30 metres.
Specialities played on this kind of fronton are the following:
- Frontenis (men’s and women’s).
- Paleta goma (men’s and women’s).

2. Short, 36-metre fronton:

The length of the fronton is 36 metres.
Specialities played on this kind of fronton are the following:
- Mano (singles and doubles) (men).
– Pala corta (men).
– Paleta with a leather pelota (men).

3. Long, 54-metre fronton or Jai Alai

The fronton is 54-metres long.
Specialities played on this kind of fronton are the following:
- Cesta Punta (men).
- Remonte (men).
- Pala larga (men).

4. Trinquete:

A four-wall fronton that has the following characteristics:
The length of the trinquete is 28.50 metres.
Along the left wall, from the front wall to the rear wall, there is a short, inclined roof.

A net extends underneath this roof.
The front wall is joined to the right wall by installing an inclined plane.
Specialities played on the trinquete are the following:
- Mano (men).
– Paleta goma (men and women).
– Paleta cuero (men).
- Xare (men).
