There is a manual about making of Xares written by an argentinan pupil who took part in the course given by the french technician Jean Sanglar in Buenos Aires in 2005. See Sanglar Manual of making Xares (spanish)

Apparel:

  • As a general rule, players’ uniforms shall always be the colour white.
  • The shirt or polo shirt shall be white or red and always have a collar.
  • The trousers, skirt, culotte or Bermuda shorts for women, shall also be white, tennis shoes predominantly white and white socks.
  • As an adornment, each team shall wear either a red or blue gerriko [belt].
  • In all specialities in which the encounter is played using an instrument and a leather pelota, all players must wear a protective helmet. It is mandatory that the helmet be white and have no stickers.
  • In the Paleta Goma, Paleta cuero, Frontenis and Xare specialities, regardless of the preceding paragraph, all frontcourt and backcourt players must use protective eyewear.
